Perdue Brandon Fielder Fielder Collins and Mott LLP has an immediate opening for an experienced Legal Assistant in our Austin office. The firm provides services to government entities and operates 15 Texas offices with additional locations in Oklahoma and Florida.

The role requires 4+ years of legal assistant experience, strong computer skills (Windows 10, Word, Excel, Outlook), and familiarity with E-file systems. Travel may be required; the position offers full-time hours and benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma; paralegal cert preferred but not required.
• 4+ years as a legal assistant; not entry level.
• Strong computer skills with Windows 10, Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Experience with E-file systems; Docuware/Clio helpful but not required.
• Excellent organization and communication, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assist attorneys on civil litigation matters.
• Draft original answers, discovery requests, and pleadings.
• Calendar trial and pretrial deadlines; manage calendars.
• E-file pleadings with district courts and coordinate mediations/depositions.
• Perform administrative duties related to cases.
