Job summary

OTA is seeking experienced landscapers to support its contract with WMATA. This is a seasonal, full-time role running March through November 30, with two early shifts available.

You will maintain high-visibility transit facilities and surrounding grounds, operate commercial equipment safely, and deliver professional groundskeeping. Candidates should have 1–2 years of landscaping experience, the ability to lift 50+ lbs, and pass background and proficiency tests.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of professional landscaping experience (commercial preferred).
• Proven experience operating commercial landscaping equipment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial landscape maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, planting, mulching, and general groundskeeping.
• Safely operate landscaping equipment (zero-turn mowers, trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.).
• Maintain clean, professional job sites at all times.
• Follow safety protocols and equipment procedures.
• Work collaboratively with crew members and supervisors to complete scheduled assignments.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in proper working condition.

We are actively seeking experienced, professional landscapers to support our contract with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. This role is ideal for skilled individuals who take pride in high-quality landscape maintenance and understand the standards required for commercial and government properties.

This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for dependable professionals who can step onto a job site and contribute immediately.
