Job summary

HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our busy, high-acuity maternity program on the night shift. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care across labor, delivery, and postpartum stages while supporting families and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Current Florida RN license to practice nursing.
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • BLS, ACLS, NRP and Intermediate/Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications or to be obtained within stated timelines.
  • Minimum of one year of Labor & Delivery experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide evidence-based nursing care throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and immediate postpartum care.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal well-being using advanced monitoring techniques.
  • Manage high-risk obstetric patients and respond to obstetric emergencies.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatology providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Support breastfeeding, patient education, and family-centered care.
  • Participate in emergency obstetric interventions and surgical deliveries.

At HCA Florida Mercy Hospital, you'll join one of Miami's busiest maternity programs, caring for diverse patient populations and supporting families through some of life's most important moments. Our Labor & Delivery team works collaboratively with physicians, neonatal specialists, and experienced nursing leaders to provide exceptional care for routine and high-risk pregnancies. This role offers the opportunity to strengthen your clinical expertise while caring for laboring patients, supporting C-sections, responding to obstetric emergencies, and collaborating with our Level II NICU team. What You'll Do

What qualifications you will need:
  • Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing

  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Current Neonate Resuscitate (NRP) certification or must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

  • Current Intermediate Fetal Monitoring or Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification or must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date

We encourage applications from RNs with at least one year of recent Labor & Delivery experience. Nurses with experience managing high-volume and high-acuity obstetric patients are especially encouraged to apply.
