Job summary

TGR Erectors in the Dallas–Fort Worth area is seeking an Ironworker to safely erect structural steel and precast components on projects across Texas. You will work with rigging, signaling, bolting, and welding to assemble frames and decks.

This role requires 2–5 years of experience in structural steel erection, OSHA 10 certification, welding certification, and the ability to pass a drug screen. You’ll operate cranes and aerial lifts and follow strict safety protocols on site.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in structural steel erection.
• Proven rigging, signaling, bolting and welding experience.
• Must pass drug test and possess OSHA 10 certification and welding certification.

Responsibilities

• Erect structural steel frameworks including beams, columns.
• Align, bolt, and weld steel members using hand and power tools.
• Perform rigging duties with slings, shackles, and cranes.
• Install stairs, ladders, and handrails.
• Maintain safety and PPE; work at heights on ladders, scaffolds, or lifts.
• Inspect tools and equipment; participate in daily safety meetings.

Job Title:Ironworker

Employee is responsible for safely and efficiently erecting structural steel and precast concrete components. This includes rigging, signaling, bolting, welding, erecting columns and beams.

Key Responsibilities:

Steel Erection:

• Erect structural steel frameworks including beams, columns, joists, and decking.
• Align, bolt, and weld steel members using hand and power tools.
• Use layout tools to measure and mark for proper placement and alignment.
• Perform rigging duties including the use of slings, shackles, and cranes.
• Install stairs, ladders, handrails, and other miscellaneous metals.

Precast Erection:

• Rig and guide precast components into position using cranes and tag lines.
• Set and align pieces per engineered shop drawings and layout marks.
• Install temporary and permanent bracing and connectors.

General Duties:

• Adhere strictly to safety regulations and use of appropriate PPE at all times.
• Work at heights on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or structural frameworks.
• Operate aerial work platforms, forklifts, and rigging equipment.
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Participate in daily safety meetings and toolbox talks.
• Maintain work area cleanliness and organization.

Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of experience in structural steel erection.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Knowledge of welding and bolting techniques.
• Strong understanding of rigging and crane signaling procedures.
• Familiarity with industry tools, rigging, and safety standards.
• Welding certification.
• Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights.
