Job summary

White Noise Design Studio is seeking an experienced interior designer for high-end residential work in New York. You will combine a strong design eye with practical, buildable plans, detailing, and code coordination to deliver exceptional spaces.

You’ll handle space planning, drawings, and documentation, coordinate with consultants, and present design concepts to clients with clarity and confidence. A fast learner who owns their work and requires minimal supervision will thrive.

Qualifications

• Several years of interior design experience with high-end residential projects.
• Strong design eye with technical rigor in space planning, drawings, detailing and codes.
• Experience in workplace, hospitality or commercial interiors is a plus.
• Ability to present ideas clearly to clients and own projects with minimal supervision.

Our work is primarily high-end residential, and we’re looking for someone with a few more years under their belt who can hit the ground running.

Someone with a strong design eye, but also the technical knowledge that comes with experience: space planning, drawings, detailing, codes, coordination, documentation, and understanding how things actually get built.

If you’ve also worked in workplace, hospitality or commercial interiors, even better, we value the technical rigor and broader knowledge that can come from those project types.

You should be comfortable putting together a beautiful, clear client presentation, communicating a design idea, picking up new project information quickly, and taking ownership of your work without needing constant oversight.

Basically: strong designer + technically confident + quick on your feet + really dependable.
