Qualifications

• Must be able to kneel, squat, crawl, bend, stoop and climb daily.
• Must lift at least 40 pounds and perform overhead work.
• Must be able to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions.
• Must work any shift to meet production needs.
• Must be able to take measurements or learn them.

Responsibilities

• Remove, repair, and install insulation types (fiberglass, calcium silicate, rubatex) from piping, ventilation, and ship components.
• Possibly remove/install floor tiling as needed on the ship.
• Contribute to insulation work on Newport News Shipbuilding projects.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and comply with procedures.
