Job summary

DynaFire is seeking an Installation Technician to support the construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data, and other low voltage systems. The role involves reading blueprints and installing components under supervision by a project manager or foreman.

The ideal candidate brings at least 5 years of installation experience in the fire alarm industry and NICET Level I certification, with Level II planned within 12 months.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of installation experience in the fire alarm industry.
• NICET Level I certification; plan to attain Level II within 12 months.
• Participation in required DynaFire sponsored training.
• May serve as a trainer for DynaFire sponsored training.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints of low voltage systems and relate them to the building layout.
• Install components of low voltage systems (smoke detectors, pull stations, cameras, door contacts).
• Review work orders, plans, and installation manuals to determine materials and procedures under supervision.
• Meet installation deadlines as specified by the project manager or foreman.
• Direct other installers when requested by the project manager or foreman.
• Communicate effectively with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

We are seeking an Installation Technician who is part of the installation pool to support the construction of fire alarm, security, access control, voice/data, and any other low voltage systems that DynaFire provides their customers. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and reliable.

• Read blueprints of low voltage systems and how related to the layout of a building.
• Install the components that make up the low voltage systems such as smoke detectors, pull stations, video cameras, door contacts, etc.
• Install installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine materials requirements and installation procedures under the supervision of a project manager or foreman.
• Meet installation deadlines as described by the project manager or foreman.
• Able to direct other installers if requested by project manager or foreman.
• Communicate effectively with authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Relationships and Roles:

• Memorize and apply the DynaFire 8 Core Values and Mission Statement.
• To fully understand that position is very important in assisting the successful delivery of a DynaFire system for our customers.

Training and Certification Requirements:

• At least 5 years of installation experience in the fire alarm industry.
• Be NICET Level I certified and maintain certification. Attain NICET Level II within 12 months.
• Participate in required DynaFire sponsored training.
• May be requested to share in serving as a trainer in the DynaFire sponsored training.
• Consider going to manufacturing training to become certified in a DynaFire low voltage system.
