Experienced Infusion Collection Specialist

Advanced Infusion Care specializes in intravenous (IV) and subcutaneous (Sub Q) immunoglobulin therapy patient care. We are committed to advancing quality and improving lives through innovative, patient-centered services.

AIC is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Collection specialist to join our team. This remote position may be based in the DFW area for in-office work. The role involves managing collection processes, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, deep knowledge of collection practices, and compliance with federal and state regulations.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3-5 years healthcare industry experience
• 3-5 years medical billing and collections experience
• Experience in Home Infusion preferred
• CPR and CareTend experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Support patient rights and confidentiality
• Follow up on invoices for prompt payment
• Evaluate payments and denials for correctness
• Manage bad debt write-offs and adjustments
• Investigate overpayments or duplicate payments
• Process refund requests
• Coordinate with departments for claim information
• Ensure compliance with regulatory procedures
• Verify billing accuracy
• Troubleshoot payment issues
• Document all communications thoroughly
• Maximize claim reimbursements
• Resolve denials within 5 days
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality
• Understand NDC codes, infusion supplies, and insurance plans
• Share knowledge with team members
• Perform other duties as assigned
