We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection Specialist to join our dynamic team. This is a remote position, with an option to work from our DFW office if local. The role involves managing collection processes, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience.
• Experience with Home Infusion preferred.
• CPR certification a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure patient rights, privacy, and confidentiality are maintained.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials for accuracy and apply correctly.
• Manage bad debt write-offs and A/R adjustments per policies.
• Identify overpayments or duplicate payments and resolve them.
• Process refunds according to procedures.
• Collaborate with departments to obtain necessary billing information.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory mandates.
• Verify billing accounts and reconcile payments.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and document calls thoroughly.
• Maximize claim reimbursements and resolve denials within 5 days.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, insurance plans, and medical codes.
• Share knowledge with team members and work collaboratively.
