AIC is looking for an experienced and motivated Accounts Receivable Collection expert to join our dynamic team! This is a remote position, but local candidates in the DFW area may work from the office. The role involves managing collection processes, including contract analysis, reimbursement, denial management, appeals, and resolving billing issues with insurance companies or responsible parties for services rendered.

The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, in-depth knowledge of collection practices, and work in compliance with Federal and State regulations related to billing and collections.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• 3-5 years of healthcare industry experience required.
• 3-5 years of medical billing and collections experience required.
• Home Infusion experience is preferred.
• CPR + / Caretend experience is a plus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Respect patient rights and maintain confidentiality.
• Follow up on invoices to ensure prompt payment and escalate issues as needed.
• Evaluate payments and denials for correctness and apply them accordingly.
• Identify and initiate bad debt write-offs and adjustments per policies.
• Investigate overpayments or duplicate payments and resolve them.
• Process refund requests according to policies.
• Coordinate with other departments for patient or insurance information.
• Ensure activities comply with regulatory mandates.
• Verify billing accounts and ensure payments are properly posted.
• Troubleshoot payment discrepancies and document calls thoroughly.
• Seek areas to maximize claim reimbursement.
• Resolve denial issues within 5 days of receipt.
• Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain knowledge of NDC numbers, infusion supplies, and medical coding.
• Share knowledge with team members and work collaboratively.
• Interact positively and respectfully with others.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Understanding of Revenue Cycle Management functions.
• Good judgment in complex situations, compliant with laws and regulations.
