Position Description:

Education & Work Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
• Passing score of 65% or higher on electrical knowledge written assessment (Required)
• Successful completion of a practical skills assessment (Required)
• Post-secondary education (Preferred)
• Experience in heavy, industrial manufacturing (Preferred)

Primary Duties:

1. Performs all onsite work in a safe manner adhering to all Berg pipe safety guidelines for PPE, lock out tag out, fall protection, and confined space entry. Identifies and rectifies unsafe conditions for themselves and others.
2. Receives instructions, hydraulic diagrams, blueprints, specifications, and software necessary to perform scheduled, emergency, or routine repairs, calibrations, and preventive maintenance.
3. Interprets drawings, sketches, software, plans, and determines best work procedures, tools, and equipment needed to troubleshoot and repair problems.
4. Uses AB and Siemens PLC software to troubleshoot and repair down equipment in a timely manner.
5. Knowledgeable in the installation and troubleshooting of all types and sizes of AC and DC motors, generators, transformers, circuit breakers, rectifiers, electronic controls, control panels, starters, switches, lighting equipment, electronic scales, power distribution, communication systems, inverters, and motor drives, conduit and fittings, soldering, and replacing parts.
6. Safely operates common industrial electrician equipment including conduit bender, drill press, hydraulic press, bench grinder, pipe threading machine, man lift, forklift, overhead crane, etc.
7. Operates electronic and electrical test equipment such as Megohmmeter, voltmeter, ohmmeter, amp meter, and laptop.
8. Logs all job tasks, work assignments, and corrective actions daily using Maximo software.
9. Performs other miscellaneous duties and tasks as assigned.
10. Must be able to work rotating schedules, including nights, weekends, and work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Compensation:

• $32 - $35 hourly plus weekly and quarterly incentive bonuses
• Shift differential for evening and overnight shifts
• Premium pay for time worked on Sundays and holidays
