Job summary

SYNERGY HomeCare in Claremont, NC is seeking an experienced Specialized Care Assistant to support clients in their homes, including those with higher care needs. This role requires dependable, compassionate caregivers with consistent availability for one-on-one care in clients' residences.

Shifts include day, evening, night, and weekend options, with PRN opportunities. Applicants should have hands-on caregiving experience and be comfortable following Care Plans and agency procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on caregiving experience required.
• Comfortable providing one-on-one care in a client's home.
• Experience with higher-need care, dementia or memory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on personal care and assistance with ADLs.
• Bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting support.
• Mobility and walking assistance.
• Transfers within the caregiver's scope.
• Dementia and memory-care support.
• Support for chronic conditions or increased care needs.
• Meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Medication reminders and safety checks.
• Companionship and safety supervision.
• Transportation and errands when authorized.
• Follow the client's Care Plan and report changes.
