Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is seeking an experienced RN for the Cardiac ICU, night shift.

Responsibilities include delivering comprehensive nursing care using the nursing process, coordinating with multiple departments, and upholding patient rights and confidentiality. The role requires RN licensure in Missouri or a compact state, and completion or ongoing maintenance of core critical care certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC, NRP, C-EFM) with physical

Qualifications

• Must hold or obtain RN license in Missouri or compact licensure.
• Graduated from a school of nursing (AD, Diploma, or BSN).
• Certifications listed (ACLS, BLS, PALS, etc.) are required or obtained within stated timelines.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical duties of ICU nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for assigned ICU patients.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.
• Maintain accountability for care quality and align with Mercy mission and service standards.

Shift: 7pm-730am

Education

Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Experience

Certifications: Basic Life Support certification or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required.

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
