Job summary

Apex Mechanical is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems on-site, including commercial and industrial equipment. You will troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues and work independently to determine whether repair, maintenance, or replacement is needed.

Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints, clearly explain findings to customers, and complete service calls with a high standard of workmanship.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on HVAC service experience.
• EPA Universal Certification.
• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable record.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
• NATE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

Experienced HVAC Service Technician | $34-$42/hr + Spiffs | 100% Paid Benefits

Apex Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who can walk onto a job, diagnose the problem, and get to the right solution without relying on guesswork.

This is a true service role for experienced technicians who are comfortable troubleshooting equipment, communicating with customers, and handling repairs independently.

What You'll Be Doing

• Diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of HVAC systems
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues accurately
• Work independently on commercial, industrial, and occasional residential equipment
• Perform maintenance and preventative service
• Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• Determine whether equipment requires repair, maintenance, or replacement
• Clearly explain findings and recommendations to customers
• Complete service work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship
• Represent Apex professionally in the field

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years of hands‑on HVAC service experience required
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability across multiple equipment types
• Commercial or industrial HVAC experience strongly preferred
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints
• EPA Universal Certification
• Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable record
• Comfortable working from ladders, including 24' extension and 8' step ladders
• Strong customer communication skills
• Experience explaining repair and replacement options
• NATE certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of service calls
• Commitment to quality workmanship and continued technical development
