We are a small, family-owned residential/light commercial HVAC company located in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are looking for a qualified, experienced service technician with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Honesty and reliability are a must. The applicant needs to be self-motivated, have good customer service skills, and a strong work ethic. The Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing a range of HVACR jobs for light commercial and residential customers.

A Service Technician must be able to accurately diagnose and efficiently accomplish a job for the mutual benefit of the customer and Mead Mechanical. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Conducting HVAC servicing jobs promptly and efficiently.
• Performing routine HVAC service activities without direct oversight or on-site assistance.
• Installing new air conditioning systems.
• Installing duct systems on new or existing projects.
• Being available for the on-call evening/weekend rotation.
• Performing related duties as directed by the Service Manager.

Job Qualifications:

• At least three years of successful experience as a service or installation technician.
• Currently hold an EPA Universal certification.
• NATE certification is encouraged.
• Good verbal and reading skills, including the ability to read and apply manufacturers' instructions and clearly communicate with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
• Physical ability to perform all duties in various conditions, including extreme weather in Florida.
• Interest and initiative in maintaining and advancing HVAC skills through self-study, training, workshops, and professional development.
• Valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work under pressure, with a non-standard schedule, weather conditions, customer needs, and backlog constraints.
