Job summary

Allen Service provides home services including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing in the Denver Metropolitan area. We are expanding and seeking an HVAC Service Technician to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial systems while building strong customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years HVAC service experience, EPA Type II/Universal Certification, owns tools and a valid driver’s license, and presents a professional appearance with a positive attitude.

Qualifications

• 2+ years HVAC service experience (residential and light commercial).
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required/benefit.
• Own tools include gauges and multimeter; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships and understand service needs.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.
• Provide start-ups and troubleshooting for HVAC systems.
• Explain replacement opportunities for aging systems.
• Meet revenue goals and maintain organized job sites and trucks.
• Complete invoices, timecards, and feedback accurately.

• Compensation: $30-40/hr based on experience plus additional opportunities for compensation!

What You'll Do:

• Build strong customer relationships by providing knowledge and understanding of new and existing customer needs and expectations.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential and light commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair all electrical and mechanical components of HVAC equipment.
• Provide start-ups and troubleshooting for residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
• Explain replacement opportunities for aging, inefficient or underperforming systems.
• Understand your service criteria and hold yourself accountable for exceeding revenue goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized job site and well inventoried truck.
• Be accurate and timely with invoices, timecards, curbside feedback, and option sheets.
• Participate actively in all training exercises, continued education, morning meetings, trade shows and retreats.

What You Bring:

• 2+ years of HVAC service experience (residential and light commercial).
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification (NATE preferred).
• Your own tools, gauges, and multimeter.
• A clean driving record and valid license.
• A professional appearance and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements and Work Location:

• Must be able to navigate various job site environments, including climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces (attics/crawlspaces), and maneuvering around HVAC equipment.
• Ability to frequently lift, carry, and manipulate tools and equipment weighing up to 50lbs and remain physically active for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to work comfortably in variable weather conditions , including extreme heat, cold, and inclement weather, while navigating unconditioned spaces like attics and crawlspaces.
