Job summary

First Call Heating & Cooling in Oregon City, OR is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician. You will diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems, service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems, read wiring diagrams, and educate customers on options and maintenance.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of residential HVAC experience, EPA 608 (and NATE within 2 years), brazing certification, and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years residential HVAC diagnostic and repair experience.
• EPA 608 certification required; NATE within 2 years.
• Brazing certification required; low voltage license preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces, confined areas.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repairs on residential heating and cooling systems.
• Service and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ductless systems.
• Troubleshoot difficult HVAC system issues.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
• Educate customers on preventative maintenance and options.
• Complete service documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Support and mentor junior technicians when needed.
