CoolSys is seeking an HVAC/R Technician to perform repairs and maintenance on a variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment at customer sites in the Long Beach area. The role requires a minimum of 3+ years of commercial experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize systems while communicating effectively with customers. The position offers competitive hourly pay, a sign-on bonus DOE, and access to education and training.

• Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment including air conditioning, motors, furnaces, and boilers.
• Diagnose issues and implement effective solutions across various systems.
• Ensure safety protocols and quality standards are followed during service visits.
• Coordinate with customers and teams to minimize downtime and maximize reliability.
• Document work performed and parts used for service records.

Responsibilities

The HVAC/R Technician role is primarily responsible for performing repairs and maintenance to a variety of HVAC and Refrigeration equipment including air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, hermetic compressors, commercial furnaces, boilers, burners, intake and exhaust fans, economizers and humidifiers, RTUs, remote condensing units, ice machines, walk‑in coolers & ampersand freezers, and upright refrigerators & ampersand freezers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial experience as an HVAC and Refrigeration Technician
• Active EPA Certification
• Valid driver's license
• Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs., climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations.
