About the Family & Role

My client is looking for an experienced, nurturing and emotionally mature nanny to care for three children, aged 3, 5 and 8. The two older children attend a Waldorf school.

The role involves caring for the youngest child during the day and supporting the older children after school. Holidays will be different hours ofcourse.

The family values love, honesty, kindness, respect and responsibility. Their parenting approach is warm and connected, with clear boundaries, guidance and consistency.

They embrace a holistic approach to childhood, including nourishing food, healthy daily rhythms, outdoor play, nature, creativity and emotional wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has ideally 5–7 years or more of relevant childcare experience, particularly in the early years.


• Is emotionally mature, patient, dependable and has sound judgement.


• Understands child development, positive discipline and how to support children through challenging moments.


• Genuinely enjoys children and brings warmth, creativity, fun and plenty of energy into their daily lives.


• Enjoys storytelling, music, arts and crafts, cooking, imaginative play and outdoor activities.


• Has a healthy, active lifestyle and a love of nature.


• Is a confident swimmer with good water safety awareness.


• Is a competent, safe and confident driver.


• Communicates clearly and confidently in English.


• Is respectful, professional, takes initiative and works well with parents and other household staff.


• Is open to feedback, learning and professional development.

Waldorf training or experience is an advantage, but not essential. The family is willing to support further holistic or Waldorf training for the right candidate.

Working Arrangements

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, with a fixed weekly schedule. The proposed contract is based on 60 hours per week, although actual hours have often been around 50 or fewer.


• Additional duties: Occasional evenings, weekends and overnight care, with additional compensation as agreed.
