Job summary

Big Motoring World Group in Wimbledon is seeking a Diagnostic/Vehicle Technician for our on-site showroom. You will perform diagnostic assessments and repairs to ensure every vehicle meets strict pre-sale quality standards before customer collection.

The role requires a Level 3 Vehicle Technician qualification or equivalent, with a full UK driving licence being essential. On-site duties include inspections, electrical diagnosis, and coding, with weekend uplift compensation.

Qualifications

• Experienced Diagnostic Technician or Junior Technician.
• Level 3 Vehicle Technician Qualification (semi-skilled or qualified technicians welcome).
• A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections to a high standard, ensuring all mechanical repairs are identified and addressed effectively.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical faults, ensuring vehicles meet pre-sale quality standards.
• Identify and resolve electrical faults through systemic diagnostics.
• Utilise wiring diagrams proficiently to trace faults.
• Competently operate diagnostic instruments.
• Conduct basic coding and programming operations, ensuring electronic systems function optimally.
• Source required information including technical manuals and software tools to support accurate diagnosis and repairs.
