Summary:

Scotty's Contracting and Stone is seeking an experienced CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator for our Heavy Civil Division. The role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies, as well as performing various labor tasks to support job site operations. Knowledge of operating equipment such as Loaders, Backhoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, and Water Trucks is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety regulations and protocols.
• Follow instructions from crew leaders.
• Perform minor maintenance; report major issues.
• Report hazards or issues promptly.
• Maintain positive relationships with co-workers.
• Complete documentation as required.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Perform physical tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must have CDL.
• At least three years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Strong safety awareness.
• Ability to work collaboratively.

Physical Requirements:

• Climb safely into equipment over 10 feet high.
• Work at heights exceeding 10 feet.
• Maintain balance on uneven surfaces.
• Corrected vision of 20/40.
• Hear safety warnings.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs. unaided, 100 lbs. with assistance.
• Work outdoors in challenging environments.

Work Environment:

Primarily outdoors with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery. Be prepared for changing weather and environmental conditions. Safety gear is mandatory during operations.
