Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; three years of experience operating bull dozers, motor graders, etc.; or equivalent combination of education/experience.
• Must possess a valid Mississippi commercial driver’s license; pre-employment drug/alcohol testing required.

Responsibilities

• Operates steam, gasoline or diesel-powered machinery for material handling, bridge building, earth moving, excavation, grading and road maintenance.
• Operates motor grader and tractor, bulldozer, power shovel, or similar equipment for site preparation and earth work.
• Performs routine checks and minor repairs, ensures safe operation of machinery.
• May function as finisher or perform more difficult finishing and grading tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.
