Job summary

EMR Group is seeking an experienced Mechanic for our New Orleans metal recycling yard. The role requires maintaining heavy equipment and machinery, including conveyors, with planned and preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of maintenance experience in heavy equipment or manufacturing.
• Experience with metal processing equipment and trucks is helpful.
• Background in electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and preventative maintenance on heavy equipment and machinery.
• Carry out fuel and lubrication tasks, inspections and testing.
• Diagnose malfunctions, dismantle and reassemble components, install parts.
• Maintain facility conveyor belts and other machinery.
