Experienced Heavy Duty Mobile Mechanic - Parts Expeditor (East Tennessee Mines)

THE ROLE

The purpose of this job is to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance and provide breakdown support and service equipment at an advanced level.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Demonstrated expertise in diesel and electrical diagnostics with a solid understanding of repair techniques.
  • Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of parts, tools and all components of diesel-powered equipment and knowledge of how each part interacts with other parts.
  • Ability to use hose machine to make hoses, proper identification of hose sizes, and able to change hose and train others on the hose process.
  • Understanding the usage of fluids that are used on-site (Hyd, Eng oil, Diesel fuel, etc.)
  • Proper knowledge of installation of common wear items (e.g. v-belts, wipers, light bulbs, etc.)
  • Ability to work swing shifts and/or weekends/ holidays.
  • Ability to perform proper pre-shift examinations on equipment.
  • Ability to change tires, proper understanding of hand tools/pneumatic tools.
  • Delivery of results in a timely manner and safety
  • Follow all MSHA and Site safety rules

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • 2 or more years of related experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Department: Internal & External. This is a non-management position. This is a full time position.
