Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a skilled Grounds Maintenance Associate to join the Horticulture team. You will perform landscape maintenance, plant identification, shrub and tree work, and basic clean-up to keep resort grounds pristine and safe.

Responsibilities include pruning, material installation and relocation, irrigation support, mowing with riding mowers, and equipment upkeep. A high school diploma or GED plus 3–5 years in upscale landscape settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Completion of horticulture program preferred.
• Three to five years landscape maintenance experience in upscale settings.

Responsibilities

• Trim/prune shrubs, ground covers, vines and some trees with hand-held tools and equipment.
• Install, remove and maintain plant material in beds and containers; manual weeding.
• Operate machinery for loading, unloading and transport of materials.
• Support irrigation by manual operation and water management.
• Mow and edges turf with riding mowers and power equipment.
• Assist in tree relocation and plant material coating and staking as needed.
• Maintain equipment and follow safety policies.
