Job summary

Universal Orlando Resort is seeking a skilled Landscape Maintenance Technician to join a Horticulture team. You will perform planting, pruning, irrigation adjustments and install hardscape features, with a focus on plant identification of 50 common species within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities include tree/shrub relocation, site preparation, equipment operation, water management, and ongoing maintenance of plantings across upscale resort environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; horticultural expertise preferred.
• 3+ years of landscape maintenance experience in upscale environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in specimen tree relocation including ball-and-burlap and staking.
• Trim and prune shrubs, ground covers, vines using hand tools and power equipment.
• Prepare sites by removing materials, grading and drainage.
• Operate machinery for loading, unloading and transporting materials.
• Water plants via manual and zone irrigation adjustments.
• Install and maintain tree, shrub and groundcover plantings; install hardscape elements.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance.
