Job description

Seeking high-performing, motivated individuals for our Experienced Laborer - Mill Clean Up - Equipment Operator positions. Both full-time day and evening shifts are available, with a 12-hour shift.

Salary: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

1. Cleaning up wet and dry sawdust, saw chips, broken boards, wood bark, etc., using shovels, brooms, wheelbarrows, leaf blowers, and hands.
2. Performing labor-intensive tasks that involve getting dirty and periodically lifting/moving heavy objects such as log pieces and boards to shoulder height.
3. Assisting in running equipment when needed.
4. Performing ground operations including cleanup, greasing equipment, and routine maintenance around the plant.
5. Conducting daily pre- and post-inspections with proper documentation.
6. Loading and unloading materials from trucks.
7. Operating chainsaws and small hand tools.
8. Maintaining yard cleanliness and debris removal.
9. Following safety procedures, conducting safety checks, and attending safety meetings.
10. Performing other tasks as requested and cross-training on all heavy equipment.

Qualifications:

• Dependable, hardworking, and able to work 12-hour shifts four days a week, including nights and weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and ongoing drug tests.
• Experience in construction or quarry environments preferred.
• Willingness to work in all weather conditions and overtime when required.
• Ability to work safely and promote a safety culture.

Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements:

• Familiarity with all types of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, off-road trucks, forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.

We are hiring for both night and day shifts. This position offers full-time employment with overtime opportunities weekly.
