Job summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center in New Jersey is seeking a Grant Writer to research, identify, and write compelling proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government agencies that support the hospital's mission. The role requires 3–5 years of grant writing experience in healthcare, a Bachelor's degree, and strong research, writing, and editing skills.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in professional grant writing, fundraising, within healthcare or related field.
Proven track record of successfully securing funding from private foundations, corporations, and/or government agencies.
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a related field such as healthcare administration, business, nonprofit management, or English.
Advanced degree (Master's) preferred.
CFRE designation preferred.

Responsibilities

Research and identify grant opportunities and funders.
Write compelling grant proposals to secure funding.
Manage relationships with private foundations, corporations, and government funders.
Ensure proposals align with Deborah Hospital Foundation and Deborah Heart and Lung Center missions.
