Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, public relations, communications, or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients and legislators.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple clients and priorities.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate client and leadership needs.
• Willingness and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Managing Director in executing legislative and regulatory strategies for clients.
• Meet with legislators, staff, and agency officials to advance client priorities.
• Build and maintain relationships with legislative offices and committee staff.
• Draft testimony, bill language, amendments, and position statements.
• Represent the team professionally in meetings and discussions when appropriate.
• Ensure lobbying activity complies with Texas Ethics Commission rules and other laws.
• Serve as day-to-day contact for clients and coordinate communication.
• Prepare updates on legislative developments and potential impacts.
