Olameter in Saint Petersburg, FL is hiring EXPERIENCED ONLY Full Time Utility Locator Technicians to locate water, sewer, telecom, and street-light utilities using electronic locating gear. Join a leading North American meter servicing company.

You will operate 7:30am to 4pm, Monday–Friday, with a company truck and safety gear provided. A valid driver's license and prior underground utility locating experience are required; random DOT drug testing applies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must pass random DOT drug testing.
• Must be able to work overtime when necessary.
• Prior underground utility locating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using electronic locating equipment.
• Interpret maps and coordinates to identify utilities and protect them from damage.
• Work under supervision in predefined construction areas.

Job description

We're currently hiring for EXPERIENCED ONLY Full Time Utility Locator Technicians in the St. Petersburg, FL area! Looking for experience in water & sewer locating, as well as telecommunications, and street lights. Wage starting from $20/hour depending on experience! All Of Our Field Technicians Are Provided With

Responsibilities

Line locators will work under the direction of their company supervisor, performing work that involves visual inspection of predefined construction areas and reading and interpretation of utility maps to determine the presence of underground utilities, while using special electronic equipment to locate and protect the utility from being damaged. Some of these utilities include gas, electric, water, cable, sewer and more.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license (Must be able to present a physical Driver's License card, other documentation is not accepted)
• Upon employment, subject to random drug testing in compliance with DOT guidelines
• Must be able to work overtime when duties cannot be performed within a normal work schedule
• Previous underground Utility Locating experience

Working Conditions And Hours

• Outdoor work environment
• Driving company vehicle to and from work sites
• Normal working hours are 7:30am-4pm, Monday through Friday

Knowledge And Abilities

• Successfully complete the company’s training program and pass applicable written and field tests
• Develop a general knowledge of state and local damage prevention regulations
• Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
