Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file, and monitor flight plans (domestic & international) and associated paperwork.
• Coordinate crew assignments, currency checks, and training requirements for compliance.
• Monitor weather, NOTAMs, airspace constraints, and hazards; provide briefings and mitigations.
• Support aircraft ferry, delivery, and customer missions including mission planning packages.
• Communicate with pilots, operations teams, customer reps, and airport officials.
• Handle day-of-operations support, resolve issues, and coordinate contingencies.
• Maintain records in Flight Operations systems and dispatch tools; ensure data governance.
• Participate in SOP updates and cross-training programs; support continuous improvement.
• Work occasional off hours, weekends, and travel as required.

Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Experienced Flight Dispatcher to join our Flight Operations team in North Charleston, SC.

The Flight Dispatcher coordinates crew and mission logistics, creates and files flight plans, monitors flight activity, and ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements. The role requires strong operational judgment, excellent communication, excellent teaming skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 operational environment.

Position Responsibilities Include:

• Prepare, file, and monitor flight plans (domestic & international) and associated operational paperwork
• Coordinate crew assignments, currency checks, and training requirements to ensure regulatory and company compliance
• Monitor weather, NOTAMs, airspace constraints, and operational hazards; provide timely briefings and mitigation recommendations
• Support aircraft ferry, delivery, and customer missions including creation of mission planning packages
• Communicate proactively with pilots, operations teams, customer representatives, and airfield/airport officials
• Execute day of operations support, resolve inflight or preflight issues, and coordinate contingencies
• Maintain accurate records in Flight Operations systems (FOS), dispatch software/tools, or equivalent; follow data governance and confidentiality rules
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, standard operating procedure updates, and cross training programs
• Work occasional off hours, weekends, and travel as required by operational tempo and special missions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Dispatch license, Pilots license, Instrument rating, or other Aviation certifications
• 3+ years’ experience as a commercial pilot or flight dispatcher, or have experience working in an airline operations center
• Experience do you have utilizing flight planning software tools
• Experience in a role that required strong written and oral communication skills
• Can you demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 3+ years’ experience with Salesforce, Smartsheet, Power BI, or flight operations systems (FOS, Jeppesen products)
• Strong working knowledge of FARs/ICAO/other applicable regulations and crew currency requirements relevant to the role
• associate degree or higher in aviation, logistics, or related field preferred
• Familiarity with international flight operations, permit/overflight processes, and LOA management
• Previous experience supporting flight test, delivery, or customer operations
• Basic scripting or data skills (SQL, Python) for reporting automation
