Job summary

Securitas USA is seeking an Experienced Flex Security Officer for full-time work in Chicago, IL. The role involves patrols, access control, de-escalation, and strong customer service across multiple sites.

You will engage with employees and guests, identify safety issues, and assist in incident response as needed. The position requires at least one year of security experience, a HS diploma or GED, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification (provided).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year security experience required.
• Must be 21+ years old with HS diploma or GED.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification provided.
• Pre-employment screening including drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation at entrances/exits.
• Perform access control at security entrances/exits.
• Patrol client premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues or suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident when needed.
• Set up barriers and provide direction or information.
• Carry out site-specific duties as required.

Experienced Flex Security Officer - Full Time - Chicago, IL

Must be available any day, at least two shifts & will be stationed at various site locations

Wage: $19.50/Hour

What Your Day May Look Like:

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct patrols inside and outside the client's premises in various weather conditions.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Protect evidence or scene of incident in the event of accidents, emergencies, or security investigations.
• Set up barriers / signage and provide direction or information to others.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Position Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED required, OR ability to complete GED program within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year security experience required.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification (provided).
• Standard computer / technology skills needed.
• Customer service background preferred.
• Prior Law Enforcement, or Military experience a plus!
• Must be able to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout the shift.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in Securitas' pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
