Job summary

Ethos Risk Services seeks an experienced Field Investigator to conduct surveillance and gather evidence on potentially fraudulent insurance claims. You will perform stationary and mobile surveillance, capture video and photos, and prepare detailed, court-ready reports for clients.

Ideal candidates work independently from their vehicle, maintain reliable equipment, and comply with licensing requirements. Some travel and overnight stays may be required, with weekends and holidays common workdays.

Qualifications

• Covert surveillance experience with high-quality video capture.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
• Reliable personal vehicle; tinted windows preferred.
• Handheld camcorder with zoom and covert camera; stabilization equipment encouraged.
• Reliable laptop, cell phone, and internet for admin tasks.
• Willingness to obtain Private Investigator license where required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surveillance by reviewing case information and preliminary reports.
• Conduct field surveillance from your vehicle and capture video evidence.
• Draft thorough, court-ready investigative reports summarizing activity and findings.
• Submit case reports and upload video footage via laptop at day’s end.
• Coordinate with field supervisor and operations teams for guidance.
