Log Cabin Fence is looking for an experienced construction worker, fence installer, or equipment operator to join our installation team.

Fence experience is a plus, but it is not required.

If you can run a skid steer, read a tape measure, work with your hands, figure things out in the field, and aren't afraid of a hard day's work, we want to talk to you.

We're looking for someone who already has solid construction skills and wants to put them to work on a wide variety of projects.

What We Build

This isn't just backyard fence installation.

Our crews work throughout Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia installing:

  • Agricultural and farm fencing

  • Residential fencing
  • Woven wire and high-tensile applications
  • Wood privacy and rail fencing
  • Ornamental aluminum fencing
  • Large fabric-covered structures
  • Gates and specialty projects

You'll work with modern construction equipment including skid steers, mini skid steers, hydraulic post drivers, augers, lifts and other specialized equipment.

What You'll Do

You'll work as part of an experienced installation crew and be expected to contribute from day one.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Operating skid steers, mini skid steers and other construction equipment
  • Driving and setting fence posts
  • Installing fence, gates and related components
  • Assisting with large fabric-covered structure installations
  • Measuring and laying out projects
  • Loading, unloading and handling materials
  • Using hand and power tools
  • Troubleshooting problems in the field
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Working safely and efficiently as part of a crew
  • Communicating professionally with customers and coworkers
We're Interested in More Than Just Fence Experience

If you have experience in any of these trades, we'd like to hear from you:

  • Fence installation
  • Excavation
  • Equipment operation
  • Concrete
  • Carpentry
  • Pole buildings
  • Steel or building erection
  • Agricultural construction
  • Utility construction
  • Landscaping or hardscaping
  • General construction

We're particularly interested in people who are comfortable around equipment and can look at a construction problem and figure out how to solve it.

Requirements
  • Previous construction or skilled-trade experience
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical
  • Comfortable operating or learning to operate construction equipment
  • Able to read a tape measure and perform basic construction measurements
  • Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Able to perform physical construction work
  • Dependable and willing to work as part of a team
  • Willing to travel to jobs throughout the region

Equipment operation and previous fence experience are all a plus.

Opportunity to Advance

We're looking for more than another laborer.

Someone who demonstrates strong construction skills, reliability, leadership and the ability to run a job will have opportunities to advance into a Crew Leader or Foreman position.
