Job summary

Christensen Law, a Salt Lake City firm focused on family and civil practice, seeks a full-time Associate Attorney to own cases, grow professionally, and contribute to a collaborative team.

Expect to draft documents, review discovery, prepare for hearings and trials, handle mediations, and bill about 140 hours monthly. Bar licensure and 5+ years of family law experience are required; salary range is $110,000–$130,000.

Qualifications

• Bar licensed with five plus years experience.
• Familiarity with various pleading documents.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ability to build a rapport with clients.
• Excellent understanding of deadlines and timeframes.
• Excellent research and writing and verbal communication skills.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence.
• Comfortable appearing in court hearings, mediations, and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cases and work with lead attorney as needed, depending on case and preference.
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients.
• Review/analyze discovery; propound discovery requests.
• Work on hearing and trial preparation.
• Represent clients in court and at mediation.
• Comply with all legal stands and regulations.
• Pitch in with other cases as needed.
• Bill an average of 140 hours per month.
