Job summary

Manpower Maine is seeking an experienced Fabrication Welder for custom projects in the Greater Portland area. Read blueprints, interpret weld symbols, and apply MIG, TIG, and Flux-Core welding to build carbon steel components to exacting specs.

You will set up, weld, grind, and finish parts, inspect finished work for quality, and maintain a safe, organized workspace. This is a temp-to-hire role with steady weekday hours and opportunities to advance based on performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fabrication welding experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to pass a practical weld test.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
• Set up, fit, weld, grind, and finish fabricated components
• Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Flux-Core (FCAW) welding
• Weld carbon steel and other metals in multiple positions
• Inspect finished work to ensure quality and accuracy
• Operate tools and equipment safely while maintaining a clean work area
