Job summary

KRB Development, LLC in Peoria, AZ is seeking an Estimator / Project Lead to own projects from first handshake to final walkthrough. You will meet clients, build estimates and proposals, close deals, and guide jobs through completion. You’ll shape the role as we grow with the team.

The position offers a base salary of $85,000–$110,000 and a monthly performance bonus, plus a family-owned culture and room to expand the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years estimating experience with a general contractor.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is preferred.
• Ability to estimate and project manage jobs.
• Ability to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulas.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Software estimating experience incl. Timberline, HCSS HeavyBid, Planswift, JobTread.
• Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Meet with prospective clients, walk sites, and build relationships.
• Prepare accurate estimates, takeoffs, and proposals.
• Sell work by presenting proposals and closing contracts.
• Manage projects from start to finish: scope, schedule, subs, budget, updates.
• Coordinate daily with Office Manager and field team.
• Help develop systems and processes for the role.

The Role

This isn’t a desk-only estimating job. We want a self-starter who can own a project from first handshake to final walkthrough. You’ll meet with clients, build estimates and proposals, close the deal, and guide the job through completion. You’ll work closely with our Office Manager. You’ll also have real room to shape and develop this role as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Meet with prospective clients, walk sites, and build strong relationships
• Prepare accurate estimates, takeoffs, and professional proposals
• Sell the work by presenting proposals, answering questions, and closing contracts
• Manage projects from start to finish, including scope, schedule, subs, budget, and client updates
• Coordinate daily with our Office Manager and field team
• Help develop the systems and processes for this role

• At least 5 years of estimating experience with a general contractor
• Strong sales skills and a proven track record of winning work
• Experience with construction estimating software
• Excellent communication skills and a personable, professional presence with clients
