Job summary

Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Site Assessor to join our Oakland team. You will perform Phase I ESAs, conduct site investigations, and coordinate with clients to advance environmental due diligence.

You will collaborate with specialists, draft reports, and stay current with EPA regulations and ASTM standards. This in-office role offers growth and mentorship in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• 2+ years writing Phase I ESAs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for field work.
• Internship or consulting experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Phase I ESAs per ASTM standards and EPA regulations.
• Perform site reconnaissance to identify environmental concerns.
• Investigate historical land use via aerial photos and records.
• Analyze environmental data and regulatory files for contamination risks.
• Draft clear ESA reports with findings and recommendations.
• Prepare site maps, figures, and photographic logs.
• Coordinate access with clients and site contacts.
• Collaborate with project managers and reviewers for success.
• Monitor timelines, deliverables, and budgets.
• Stay current on environmental regulations and trends.
• Participate in trainings and mentorship programs.
