Kendall Auto Group is seeking an Experienced DOT Driver in Meridian, ID to join our team. This full-time role involves delivering and picking up vehicles from dealerships and customers, complying with DOT hours-of-service, inspecting and documenting vehicle conditions, and coordinating with various facilities across the region.

The successful candidate will operate a variety of vehicles, trailers, and winches, transport vehicles up to 45,000 pounds, and be willing to travel as needed.

Formación

• Valid Class A CDL license and DOT medical card required.
• Clean driving record and compliance with DOT hours-of-service regulations.
• Familiarity with hands-free mobile equipment while driving.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver and pick up vehicles from dealerships and facilities using truck and transport trailer or flat bed.
• Hook up and pull fifth wheel or bumper-pull trailers.
• Follow DOT hours-of-service rules and conduct vehicle inspections.
• Deliver to customers' addresses; plan safe routes in compliance with laws.
• Operate 12K winch to load/unload vehicles; secure loads safely.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and document it properly.
• Complete paperwork for trades, purchases and deliveries; maintain logs.
• Ensure vehicle readiness and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Travel to surrounding states for deliveries and vehicle rescue.

Full Job Description

Kendall Auto Group is one of the largest family owned and operated dealers in the Pacific Northwest and premier employer in The Treasure Valley. We are looking for a Dealer Trade Driver to join the team. This is an full-time position that is DOT regulated.

• Deliver and pick-up vehicles from other dealerships and facilities using truck and transport trailer or flat bed.
• Knowledge and ability to hook up and pull either fifth wheel or bumper pull trailers.
• Compliance with all DOT “hours of service” and “vehicle inspection” regulations and requirements.
• Deliver and pick up vehicles directly from customer’s personal and business addresses. Plotting safe routes in compliance with state and federal laws.
• Ability to safely operate a 12K winch to load and unload disabled vehicles.
• Load, secure and operate vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, protecting them from damage.
• Ability to operate a wide variety of cars, light trucks, and vans. Loaded vehicle combinations may total up to 45,000 pounds. Both manual and automatic transmissions must be operated.
• Lift loading ramps up-to 100lbs, secure vehicles using securing straps and similar devices and hand tools.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and properly document it.
• Complete and verify paperwork in conjunction with vehicle trades, purchases and deliveries.
• Maintain driver electronic logbook to comply with DOT and other government agencies.
• Inspect vehicles for safe operation: make, arrange for, or report needed maintenance and repairs as appropriate.
• Deliver and pick-up vehicles without trailer transport when necessary.
• Deliver and pick-up documents, and obtain signatures as needed.
• Vehicle checklist to include VIN Inspection of each vehicle transporting to ensure the correct vehicle is loaded and moved.
• Vehicle rescue using a standard winch attached to a single-place trailer.
• Able to transport/drive all hours day and night as well as travel to various surrounding states for vehicle delivery and rescue.

Please note: Occasional overnight stay out of the town or area will occur due to driving time restrictions
