Job summary

Porsche Audi Volkswagen of Anchorage is seeking an Experienced Domestic Service Technician to lead a team of technicians in maintaining and repairing vehicles to the highest standards. You will diagnose complex issues, perform routine maintenance, stay updated on new tech, coach technicians, and ensure accurate repair orders while maintaining a clean, safe shop.

A $10k sign-on bonus applies for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• ASE or Audi technician certifications are a strong plus.
• 2+ years of Domestic Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension issues.
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Stay current on automotive technology and repair techniques.
• Assign tasks to technicians based on skill level and experience.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and quality oversight to the technician team.
• Train and develop technicians to grow capabilities.
• Communicate repair status clearly and professionally to customers.
• Complete all required documentation including repair orders and work estimates.
• Manage parts and supplies inventory.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Up to $10,000 sign-on bonus depending on experience
• No risk compensation package! Within the first 90 days, we'll start you at an hourly rate to help you get up to speed on the brand without the pressure of flat-rate compensation.

The Experienced Domestic Service Technician is responsible for overseeing and guiding a team of technicians in the efficient and effective repair and maintenance of vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues including engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension systems
• Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
• Stay current on the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
• Assign tasks to technicians based on skill level and experience
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and quality oversight to the technician team
• Train and develop technicians to grow their capabilities
• Communicate repair status clearly and professionally to customers
• Complete all required documentation including repair orders and work estimates
• Manage parts and supplies inventory
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Demonstrates a high “HQ” (Hospitality Quotient) consisting of kindness & optimism, intellectual curiosity, work ethic, empathy, self-awareness, and integrity.
• Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. ASE or Audi technician certifications a strong plus.
• Experience: 2+years of Domestic Technician experience
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to diagnose and repair complex automotive problems.
• Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety standards.
• Ability to use diagnostic equipment and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
