Job description

Bring your expertise. We'll provide the professional facility.

Imagine teaching in a professional dog training facility instead of a park, church basement, or borrowed community room.

Four-Legged Fun Zone, a division of Tailored Pet Services LLC, is seeking experienced, positive-reinforcement dog trainers to establish an ongoing group training program at our Everett facility.

This is an independent contractor opportunity for a trainer who wants a consistent indoor location without the expense of leasing and maintaining their own facility.

We're not looking for one-time seminars or occasional room rentals—we're looking for a trainer committed to building a recurring training program.

Your facility reservation provides access to a professionally maintained training environment designed specifically for dogs and their owners.

Available Training Spaces
  • Large Indoor Training Room: 39' × 28' (approximately 1,090 sq. ft.)
  • Training Studio: 22' × 33' (approximately 725 sq. ft.)
  • Fenced Outdoor Training Area: 50' × 50' (2,500 sq. ft.)
Facility Amenities
  • Dedicated client lounge for pre- and post-class conversations
  • Professional rubber flooring designed for dogs
  • Fully fenced outdoor training area
  • Restrooms for clients
  • Convenient parking
  • Easy access from I-5 in Everett
  • Clean, professionally maintained environment
Available Facility Resources

With prior approval, trainers may use available shared facility equipment, including:

  • Chairs and tables for classroom instruction
  • Whiteboard and TV for presentations
  • Wi‑Fi
  • Water bowls
  • X-pens
  • Training cones
  • Agility equipment
Available Training Times
  • Weekday evenings after 7:00 PM
  • Saturdays
  • Sundays
Facility Reservation Fee

$25 per hour with a two-hour minimum facility reservation per class.

Each class reservation includes up to two hours of reserved facility time, allowing for:

  • Class setup
  • Client arrival and questions
  • Instruction
  • Teardown
  • Cleanup*
  • Post-class client communication

*Cleanup & Facility Care

Because Four-Legged Fun Zone is used for daycare and grooming, the facility must be left ready for business after every class.

Before leaving, trainers are responsible for:

  • Returning all shared equipment to its designated storage location.
  • Vacuuming or sweeping the training area.
  • Immediately cleaning and disinfecting any urine, feces, vomit, or other pet accidents using the provided supplies.
  • Disposing of pet waste in the designated outdoor receptacle.
  • Removing all personal belongings, treats, handouts, and trash.
  • Ensuring the training area is clean, organized, and ready for the next scheduled use.
Partnership Benefits

We'll support your training program by:

  1. Creating a dedicated page for your classes on the Four-Legged Fun Zone website.
  2. Displaying your business cards and promotional materials in our facility.
  3. Recommending your classes to existing clients when we believe they're a good fit.

To keep facility reservation fees affordable, trainers are responsible for marketing and growing their own classes. We'll increase your visibility through our website and by recommending your classes to appropriate existing clients, but we do not guarantee referrals or enrollment.

Facility Expectations

Trainers are responsible for:

  • Setting up and tearing down their own classes.
  • Providing their own curriculum and training equipment.
  • Marketing and growing their own training program.
  • Maintaining professional liability insurance.
  • Complying with the terms of the Facility Use Agreement.
  • Respecting their scheduled facility reservation times.
Optional Administrative Services

Rather spend your time teaching than managing registrations and collecting payments? Optional administrative support is available for an additional 15% of tuition collected. This fee is separate from the facility reservation fee.

Administrative services include:

  • Online registration
  • Payment collection
  • Credit card processing
  • Confirmation emails and reminders
  • Class rosters
  • Responding to registration-related phone calls and emails
  • Bi‑monthly contractor payouts
Minimum Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience independently leading group dog training classes (not assisting).
  • Professional certification (CPDT-KA, KPA-CTP, IAABC, etc.) or equivalent professional education and experience.
  • Experience creating and marketing group dog training classes, workshops, or events.
  • Uses positive reinforcement training methods.
  • Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain coverage before teaching classes).
  • Ability to teach recurring evening and/or weekend classes.
  • Ability to operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
  • Commitment to establishing a recurring training program at Four-Legged Fun Zone.
  • Reside within 15 miles of Four-Legged Fun Zone (6628 Evergreen Way, Everett, WA 98203).
Please Note

This opportunity is designed for trainers interested in establishing an ongoing training program at Four-Legged Fun Zone. While some facilities offer one‑time or occasional room rentals, this opportunity is intended for trainers committed to providing recurring classes on a consistent schedule.
