Orion Placement is seeking an experienced family law attorney in Wayne, PA. You will manage divorce, custody, support, and related matters, providing strategic guidance to clients.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of divorce and family law experience, strong writing and research skills, and a Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing. Hybrid work and relocation support may be available, with a boutique practice focused on meaningful client advocacy.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active Pennsylvania Bar license in good standing.
• 2+ years of divorce and family law attorney experience.
• Experience drafting pleadings, handling discovery, and representing clients in family law proceedings.
• Strong legal writing, research, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and competing deadlines independently.
• High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and standard legal technology.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active caseload involving divorce, equitable distribution, custody, support, adoption, and related family law matters.
• Counsel clients with professionalism, empathy, and clear strategic guidance throughout their cases.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents.
• Research Pennsylvania family law, local rules, and relevant case law.
• Represent clients at conferences, hearings, negotiations, and trials.
• Manage discovery timelines, prepare responses, and keep matters moving efficiently toward resolution.
• Communicate promptly with clients and provide consistent updates regarding case strategy and developments.
• Maintain organized case files, deadlines, and billable-hour expectations.
• Participate in CLEs, Bar Association activities, professional conferences, and other opportunities to strengthen your practice.

Location: Wayne, PA. We prefer candidates who are local or able to relocate, with hybrid flexibility available for the right candidate. Because this is primarily a litigation practice, attorneys handling court appearances and active litigation will need regular local availability. Fully remote arrangements may be considered for candidates focused primarily on high-level research, writing, file preparation, equitable distribution, or transactional work. Relocation assistance may be available.

Note: Candidates must be active members in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar and have at least 2+ years of attorney experience specifically handling divorce and family law matters.
