Job summary

Waste Pro USA is seeking an Experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join their team in Fort Myers, Florida. The role involves diagnosing and repairing a variety of truck systems, including diesel and CNG. Technicians will work with industry-leading equipment and receive a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and a retention bonus of up to $7,500 based on performance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical systems.
• Ability to complete work within Suggested Repair Times (SRTs).
• Ability to interpret and make repairs from Service Manuals.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs on all equipment.
• Communicates with managers/drivers regarding vehicle issues.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely manner.

Summary Of Position

Knowledge and ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, body components and systems related to heavy duty and light duty trucks. This may include gasoline, diesel and CNG systems. May include welding and fabrication.

Essential Job Functions

• Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs and maintenance on all equipment to maximize safe and productive operations. Reviews and completes repairs identified on DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report) and/or repair orders.
• Communicates with managers/drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventive techniques that minimize future repairs.
• Completes all required paperwork in a timely and concise manner.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducts repairs utilizing Factory Service Manuals.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Maintain high standard of Ethics and Dependability.

• Knowledge to provide assistance and guidance to Assistant Technicians and Shop Helpers.
