Job summary

May's Fleet Sales & Service is seeking an Experienced Diesel Technician for a Monday–Friday days schedule in Syracuse, NY. Join a clean, heated, 13-bay shop that supports a diverse fleet requiring expert diesel service.

Offered pay is $35–$45 per hour with up to a $3,000 sign-on bonus, tool allowance, and paid ASE certifications. Comprehensive benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance (50% paid by May's), retirement with company match, and paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• 3+ years repairing medium- or heavy-duty diesel trucks.
• Solid electrical diagnostic skills with diagnostic software experience.
• Own hand tools and a valid driver's license; CDL/ASE a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Class 3–8 fleet trucks: Freightliner, Mack, Peterbilt, International, Ford, Mitsubishi Fuso, Hino and Isuzu.
• Engines, aftertreatment, electrical, brakes, suspension and driveline.
• Preventive maintenance and NYS inspections.
• Steady fleet customers provide varied, predictable work.

Monday through Friday, first shift. Home every evening and weekend.

May's has kept Central New York's delivery, utility and service fleets running for more than 25 years. We're adding one experienced diesel technician to our team in a clean, heated, modern 13-bay shop.

Pay and extras:

• $35–$45 per hour for experienced diesel technicians.
• Up to $3,000 sign-on bonus.
