Qualifications

• Must be current or former sworn officer.
• Minimum 40 college credits with preference for a Bachelor's degree and Wisconsin Law Enforcement Certification.
• Must pass background, medical, psychological exams and cardiovascular fitness test.
• U.S. citizen and valid Wisconsin driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Enforce state laws and county ordinances.
• Arrest criminal code violators.
• Guard, transport and care for inmates and prisoners.
• Serve legal papers on people, businesses and places.
• Transport inmates and juveniles to and from facilities and court.
• Conduct criminal investigations and testify in court.
