Job description

Family Wellness Dentistry is searching for a Registered Dental Assistant to join our team! We are hiring for a full-time, permanent position.

Family Wellness Dentistry is a private, fee-for-service, general dentistry practice delivering premium dental care and exceptional customer service to the residents of West Plano and surrounding neighborhoods.

Compensation & Schedule:

Hourly wage: $22-26/hr depending on experience. Candidates with 2+ years of experience preferred.

Hours: Monday and Tuesday 7:50 am - 5:00 pm, Thursday 7:50 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 7:25 am - 1:30 pm. Must be prepared to stay up to 30 minutes after closing if necessary.

Services Offered:

General dentistry, cosmetic procedures, implant placement/restoration, Invisalign, endodontics, and oral surgery.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Obtain and verify patient records
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming office
  • Assist doctor with treatments and procedures
  • Perform oral evaluations and charting
  • Assist with intraoral scanning, digital x-rays, and impression taking
  • Prepare and break down operatory
  • Sterilize and disinfect equipment
  • Build rapport with patients
Minimum Skills:
  • Open Dental and iTero experience preferred
  • Digital x-ray and intra-oral photography skills
  • Experience with temporary crowns, fillings, cord packing, impressions, and lab prescriptions
  • Knowledge of dental terminology and infection control protocols
  • CPR certification
Work Environment:

Follow safety procedures, use PPE, and adhere to infection control standards. Potential for prolonged sitting and standing.
