Job Description

Accurately prepare, review, and submit import documentation in compliance with customs regulations and client requirements.

  1. Products classification
  2. ISF and Entry Filing
  3. Coordinating release of goods with applicable government agencies
  4. Resolving general CBP requests for additional documents or information
  5. Handle Customs exams, communicate timely and consistently with clients
  6. Communicate between all required parties to obtain release and status of shipments
  7. Manage shipment related digital files and keep the files organized.

Job Requirements

  1. Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience in customs entry writing or related import/export brokerage roles.
  2. Regulatory Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classification, valuation, and other PGA import compliance requirements.
  3. Documentation & Compliance: Demonstrated ability to accurately prepare, review, and submit import documentation in compliance with customs regulations and client requirements.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in using ABI software (NetCHB preferred), and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  5. Proficient working in a paperless environment, including the use of SharePoint for file sharing and collaboration.
  6. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with customers, government agencies, and internal teams.
  7. Communicate with internal teams through Microsoft Teams.
  8. Communicate with clients through phone and WeChat.
  9. Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a meticulous approach to document preparation and record keeping.
  10. Team Orientation: Capability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
  11. Language: English, Chinese.
  12. 60 WPM.
