Job description

Our cooks prepare amazing and nourishing meals for our guests and ensure the highest quality standards of food service and the best culinary experience are provided at all times. They work closely with the Executive Chef to create and review menus, prepare food, and ensure the meals are prepared in accordance with established portion control procedures, sanitary regulations, and policies and procedures.

You will earn: over $20 per hour!

  • Starting wage with 3-5 years exp: $17.75 per hour
  • PLUS $1.50 per hour Shift Premium for 2nd Shift
  • PLUS Hero Pay($0.85 per hour!)

We can work with your scheduling needs:

  • 8 hour shifts including rotating weekends and some holidays
  • Full Time
  • Shift: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM
  • Afternoons / 2nd Shift

How you will help people every day:

  • You will prepare meals following all necessary guidelines and regulations
  • You will coordinate food production to coincide with meal serving times ensuring excellence in quality, temperature, and appearance
  • You may assist with tray line setup and plate assembly
  • You will assist with daily cleaning requirements in the kitchen
  • You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in every interaction with our guests, their families, and visitors. Through kind words and encouragement, you will foster a positive, healthy environment for healing and thriving.

What you will need to be part of our EPIC team:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe certification
  • 2+ Years related food experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other medical facility, with strong knowledge of food procedures.
    • Long Term Care experience is a PLUS!
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering Excellent, Passionate, Innovative care!

This is a full-time position. Certifications Required: ServSafe Certified.
