Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking a Mid-Level Experienced Construction Materials Testing Technician to join our team. You will perform sampling and testing of soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt on various projects, with in-depth training and certification opportunities.

Responsibilities include field testing (slump, air content, temperature), density testing, and daily reporting. You will work with project managers and senior technicians, and may mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications preferred.
• 1+ years of construction materials testing experience.
• State DOT, ICC, and/or NICET certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform outdoor field work in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Conduct field concrete testing (slump, air content, temperature).
• Perform field density tests on soils; prepare daily reports of field activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior staff to ensure compliance with specs.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior staff; travel as needed.

As a technician, you will perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Onsite materials testing is conducted on various industrial, commercial and transportation construction projects located throughout the region.As a technician, you will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability.
