Job summary

Braun Intertec Corporation in San Antonio, TX is seeking Experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians to join our team. You will perform testing on soils, concrete, masonry and asphalt across industrial, commercial and transportation projects.

We provide in-depth technical training, NICET and ACI certifications on successful completion of exams, and opportunities to advance within a 100% employee-owned company with a strong backlog of projects.

Qualifications

• Must have safety focus and attention to detail.
• Strong plan-reading and math aptitude required.
• Able to work extended or nontraditional hours as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• State DOT, NICET, ACI certifications preferred and/or required.
• 1+ year of construction materials testing experience and valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine & complex sampling and testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, masonry, and asphalt.
• Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperature.
• Perform field density tests of soils.
• Prepare daily reports and documentation of field activities in electronic format.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior staff to ensure specifications are followed.
• Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff.

Braun Intertec is seeking Experienced Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technicians to join our San Antonio, TX office. As a technician, you will perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Onsite materials testing is conducted on various industrial, commercial and transportation construction projects located throughout the region. As a technician, you will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. Responsibilities

• Perform field concrete testing, including slump, air content, and temperature
• Perform field density tests of soils

• 1+ years of construction materials testing experience
• A High School diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver’s license
• The ability to lift 75+ pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
• At times, this position may be working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, in confined spaces, or supported trenches

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $50,000.00 - $74,000.00
